First Swing Clinic Schedule

IMG_2222-(1).JPGIn 2010 Mark Tibbles was approached by Gary Hart, President of the SA Amputee & Disabled Golf Association (SAADGA) with a view towards expanding the opportunities for people with disabilities to learn and play golf. Together they were instrumental in establishing 'First Swing Clinics' in Western Australia and the foundation of The West Australian Amputee & Disabled Golf Association (WAADGA). Clinics are held at The Vines Resort & Country Club on a regular basis under the guidance of Mark Tibbles (Please see below for the First Swing Clinic schedule).

DeafGolf.jpg"The First Swing Clinics provide an opportunity for amputees and physically and intellectually disabled people to learn the fundamentals of the golt swing and to play golf in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. It also fosters friendships and allows for interaction and socialisation which for many has been an important component in their rehabilitation and wellbeing. Very sadly Gary Hart passed away in February 2012. I will always remain grateful to Gary for sharing his insight into the challenges facing amputee and disabled golfers, for being inspired by his passion and for offering me the opportunity to be part of his vision for the future and in his quest to see golf accepted as a sport at the 2020 Paralympic Games." - Mark Tibbles

Mark has recently been accredited for Blond & Disabled Coaching with the PGA Australia.
